The Vonnegut Group

We apply innovative and entrepreneurial approaches to solve challenges faced by American higher education and those it serves.

This month, we announced two new services to the community it always services, directly and indirectly:  students and their families.

Personal Advising for Community College STEM Students

Recent data makes clear that a four-year degree leads to increased job security and opportunities for higher salaries.  More students that ever before are starting their pursuit of such degrees at a two-year schools.  Those who dream of becoming an engineer, a medical doctor, or a scientist will encounter hidden obstacles at two-year schools which a personal Vonnegut Group Advisor will help you anticipate, and overcome or avoid.

Workshops for Families of College-bound STEM Students

Studies show that a student of science or mathematics is more likely to succeed in college when their family is a source of encouragement and support.   This half-day workshop will give the college-bound student the tools to anticipate and overcome academic challenges typically encountered by future science professionals, and it will give parents tools to be supportive and encouraging as their child works to earn a science or mathematics degree.

Our Advisors are available to provide services that include

  • institutional STEM transfer success audits and troubleshooting,
  • STEM program reviews,
